We are very proud and delighted to announce Rainbow Rowell’s ELEANOR & PARK has won The Boston Globe/Horn Book Award for Fiction for 2013.
One of the most prestigious honors in U.S. Children’s Publishing (second only to the Newberry Award), the Horn Book Award for Excellence in Children’s Literature is chosen by an independent panel of judges appointed yearly, and is jointly sponsored byTheHorn Bookmagazine andTheBoston Globe. The nominees must be published in the United States, though the authors need not be U.S. Citizens. Previous winners include Lois Lowry, Louis Sachar, Jerry Spinelli, and Ursula K. LeGuin. The award has been presented since 1968.
